Borea Sun Lounger Outdoor

Overview

The Borea lounge sunbed is a 2022 series by Piero Lissoni, offered as a chaise longue and a sofa. Both have a large reclinable back, and the page says a delicate balance of oval shapes defines them.

Construction

• Frame: curved aluminium tubes with a base of fixed aluminium sheet slats
• Mattress: upholstered, 6 cm thick, in polyester fibre over shaped polyurethane of different density
• Cover: fabric in limited categories
• Other parts: plastic ferrules; PES cover cloth with PU on one face for waterproofing

Two oval objects

The page presents a small series of outdoor lounge sunbeds with character, and says the two objects redefine the category of poolside outdoor seating. The chaise longue is elongated and welcoming, for one or two people lying or reclining.

An island with the back lowered

By lowering the back, the sheet says, the chaise longue becomes an island with multiple uses where you can sit as you wish, and the sofa version works in the same way.
