Audrey Soft

Overview

Audrey Soft is the upholstered version of Kartell's Audrey chair by Piero Lissoni, code 5975 for the armless chair, with the armchair 5976 on the same drawing. Kartell dates it 2012. The page shows the chair in Brick red and offers Brick red, Beige, Blue and Trevira black.

Construction

Per the sheet, the chair has a painted aluminium frame, a polyurethane seat and back and Noma fabric made of 100% recycled polyester as upholstery. The sheet states that Audrey Soft is the fabric version of the chair.

Specifications

On the drawing the chair is 52 cm across, 51 cm front to back and 80 cm tall and weighs 5.4 kg. Heights are not labelled on the drawing. The frame comes in White or Black and the Noma fabric in six colours, with three more Noma colours marked new on the sheet.

The fabric version

The sheet calls Audrey Soft the fabric version of Audrey. The seat and back are polyurethane covered with Noma, a fabric the sheet and the fabric card describe as made of 100% recycled polyester, and the sheet marks it with a made-from-recycled-fabric symbol.

Stacking support

Because the upholstery can be damaged when chairs are stacked, Kartell lists an accessory, code 5879, a stacking support available in White or Black, which the sheet says enables the chairs to be stacked without damaging the upholstery.
