Description
Overview
The Aston "Cord" Indoor armchair takes the Aston theme into different materials: a painted metal frame in Pewter and a seat back of braided polypropylene cord, 7 mm in diameter, in two colours. Minotti offers it with and without arms, and the Technical Features list an ottoman beside the two armchairs.
Construction
- Frame: metal, sand-blasted, zinc primer for exterior use and exterior polyester powder paint in polished Pewter; the metal seat plate carries a laser-cut geometric decoration from a Minotti Studio design
- Back and arms: braided 7 mm Taslan polypropylene cord
- Padding: a thin polyurethane layer over a birchwood multiply support under the seat cushion; seat cushion in channelled goose down with a high-resilience polyurethane insert; backrest cushion in channelled goose down
- Covers: seat and backrest cushion covers in fabric or leather, fully removable

Minotti's page says the Aston "Cord" Indoor armchair offers a different take on the Aston theme through different materials: a Pewter painted metal frame and a seat back in a special braided polypropylene cord.
Cord made for the outdoors
The Technical Features describe the cord as braided Taslan polypropylene made with non-toxic, hypo-allergenic substances, resistant to fungus, bacteria, sunlight, salt water, chlorine, acids and sun lotions, and certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
