Description
Overview
The Jensen is the contemporary wing-back chair in which Minotti says technology, the master craftsmanship of Italian upholstering, design and comfort come together. It is offered as a bergere, as an armchair and with an ottoman, on a die-cast aluminium base that is either swivel or fixed.
Construction
- Frame: metal with high-rubber-content elastic straps, let into fireproof polyurethane foam, with a softer foam insert matched to the backrest; the front of the frame carries a channelled goose down quilt
- Seat cushion: goose down with a high-density polyurethane insert of different densities
- Base: moulded die-cast aluminium, an exclusive Minotti Studio design, in extra-glossy anti-touch Pewter or brushed bright aluminium under a transparent coat
- Swivel: the armchair base turns 60 degrees each side and returns to its original position, or is fixed
- Covers: fabric or leather, fully removable by loosening the screws under the base
Specifications
- Bergere: W 81 x D 97 x H 94 cm
- Armchair: W 81 x D 85 x H 78 cm
Story
Stitching and a visible zip
Minotti's page says the caneté stitching around the perimeter of the body highlights the design excellence of the Jensen, and the zipper visible on the front of the seat cushion adds a decorative yet practical note.
A base of fluid curves
The page describes the base as the clearest expression of the Jensen's individuality: triangular die-cast aluminium tubing that suggests a succession of fluid curves, varying thicknesses and eye-catching roundness.
