Overview
The Nemschoff Aspen Settee is a settee designed by Lawrence Peabody with a lightly scaled wood frame and an upholstered seat and back. Herman Miller says the form balances sophistication, casualness and comfort, and places it in the Peabody Classics Collection.
Construction
Frames come in solid maple, white oak or walnut topped with wooden arm caps and joined by mortise and tenon. A matte healthcare finish covers the wood. The seat is sprung, the covers come off, and the sloped legs are wall-savers on non-marring glides.
Specifications
The settee measures 52 x 33.8 x 30.2 in (W x D x H) (Nemschoff Aspen Settee).
Story
A settee with a light wood frame
Herman Miller presents the Aspen Settee as a timeless form with many applications. The lightly scaled frame carries an upholstered seat and back, and the swooped arms add an inviting line that suits waiting and lounge areas.
Part of the Peabody Classics Collection
The settee sits in the Peabody Classics Collection, a group Herman Miller calls rooted in original mid-century designs and sized to bring a home-like feeling to public and healthcare spaces. Lawrence Peabody is the designer of the Aspen Settee.
