Archibald Bed With Storage

Overview

The Archibald bed with storage by Jean-Marie Massaud takes a 170 x 200 cm mattress. Pelle Frau® leather covers it throughout, and the back of the headboard can also be had in Poltrona Frau Jacquard fabric. The storage box is reached by lifting the bed base.

Construction

• Headboard: Polimex® and birch plywood with a padding of polyester wadding over expanded polyurethane
• Base: sides and footboard in poplar plywood with light polyurethane foam padding, covered in leather
• Storage access: two leather handles operate a gas spring mechanism that raises the rest surface from the footboard side, with a single or a double opening movement
• Feet: cylindrical, in black painted metal
• Frame parts: central beams, profiles, corner plates and shelves in white painted steel sheet, with felt pads protecting the slatted base

A bed for the sleeping area

The bed is the first Archibald piece for the night area. It reinterprets the spirit of the Archibald collection with refined elegance and, despite its bold lines, conveys a sense of intimacy and warmth.

Storage under the base

The storage box sits under the rest surface and is reached from the front footboard. Two leather handles lift the surface, which either tilts or, with the double movement, can be held tilted or horizontal. The back of the headboard is covered in leather or in Jacquard fabric, which suits placing the bed against a wall.
