Eléonore Nalet was born in southern France in 1984. She studied industrial design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and Design Academy Eindhoven, then spent four years working for Inga Sempé in Paris while developing her own projects.
Serpentine
Her Serpentine armchair made her a finalist in the Villa Noailles Design Parade 05 competition in 2010 and won the SEB group design award that year. At Cologne's D3 design talents show in 2011, she met Michel Roset, who decided to put Serpentine into production.
International practice
Nalet moved to Santiago in 2013, working principally for Roda on games and children's furniture and lecturing at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. In 2015 she moved to Mexico and opened her own studio.
Approach
Her work ranges from objects to spaces, using either industrial or craft-led approaches according to the project.
