Description
Overview
Added in 2018, the Serpentine small settee extends Eléonore Nalet's outdoor design into a two-person format with an aluminium perimeter.
Upholstered assembly
Two coats of epoxy polyester lacquer finish the metalwork. The seat foam has a density of 40 kg/m³ and hardness of 4 kPa, supplemented by polyester fibre. The back is assembled from three elongated, fibre-filled cushions that weave around one another. Its outdoor polyester covering can be removed.
Exact size
This ecru settee on a charcoal frame is 1,655 mm wide, 760 mm deep and 735 mm high. It has a 385 mm seat height and weighs 22 kg.
Story
Added at the relaunch
The original Serpentine armchair appeared in steel in 2012. When the design returned in aluminium six years later, this two-person settee became the second format in the outdoor family.
A wider woven back
The settee translates the chair's cushion-weaving idea across a 1,655 mm span. Three elongated cushions surround the frame, while a separate foam-and-fibre pad supports the two-seat surface beneath removable outdoor fabric.
