Background
Donia Ouertani and Nolwenn Michéa first met as students at the École Supérieure d'Art et Design of Saint-Étienne, in France. They began working together after an academic exchange in Scotland in 2015, where they found that they shared an approach to design practice.
Signature Style
They set up the Foghar design studio in autumn 2020. Their research and creation projects focus on the depreciated resources of a territory, vegetal ones in particular, with urban dead leaves as one example, and manual work and experimentation matter greatly to them.
Notable Works
Their pieces in the Ligne Roset range are the Rhéa occasional table and the Rhéa console table.
Legacy
The Foghar design studio was founded in autumn 2020 by the two designers, who met during their studies in Saint-Étienne.
