Description
Overview
The Rhéa console table, by Donia Ouertani and Nolwenn Michéa, combines oak legs with a travertine top.
Construction
The legs are natural varnished oak. The open pore travertine top has small cavities that make its surface grained and uneven to the touch, and its colour reflects light. Two layers of waterproofing agent protect the stone, and the top's edge is left raw. The travertine is worked and re-cut into the shape of a leaf.
Specifications
Overall size: 1,150 x 340 x 820 mm (W x D x H). Weight: 37.3 kg.
Story
Stone cut into a leaf shape
The travertine top of this console is worked and re-cut to form the shape of a leaf. The stone has small cavities, and its colour reflects light.
Raw edge and oak legs
The edge of the top stays unpolished, and the top is treated with a waterproofing agent. Natural varnished oak forms the legs.
