Chris Howker was born in 1964 in the UK. After graduating in art and design from East Surrey College he took a master's degree at the Royal College of Art.
Career
His working life began in 1998 at the David Chipperfield architecture studio, followed by United Design in London, where he designed hotel interiors for clients around the world. As an industrial designer in the furniture field he also took on bathroom furnishings, upholstered furniture and accessories. He now works with established design companies on furnishing elements and interior design projects.
Notable Works
For B&B Italia he designed Dip & Double Dip, two stainless steel benches dated 2004, which are built from a 1.5 mm sheet with a circular sandblasted finish.
