Collection Story
Origin
Yves is a seating system by Hannes Peer in Minotti's 2024 Collection. Minotti describes a system with a dual soul, an ideal synthesis of rational volumes and organic shapes, enriched by unexpected and dynamic tailored details, and says the project carries a charm from the heyday of the 1970s.
Design Language
Seats made in one piece flow into different depths and form coves with room for a small table or an ottoman. Backrests follow the curves of the seats in segmented, architectural shapes, with a gap that lets them run one after another without looking monolithic. Asymmetrical seams give the volumes their rhythm and decide where the aluminium feet are placed. Together with the sinuous shapes, Minotti says, these graphic details make Yves a domestic landscape in which traditional modularity becomes lively and asymmetrical, yet reassuring and comfortable.
