Yves Sideboard

Overview

The Yves Sideboard is Hannes Peer's storage unit for Minotti. Its feet take their inspiration from the feet of the Yves seating system. It is an elegant, contemporary sideboard with an apparent formal simplicity and a rational, precise design, made in living and dining versions.

Construction

The double shaped rounded feet are positioned in line with the door joints and rhythmically define the composition. Contoured MDF, 25 mm thick, forms the doors, the drawer fronts and the side and back panels, with smoothed edges and rounded borders on the corners of the lacquered or wooden doors and of the sides. The internal structure is 20 mm MDF. The top is 20 mm thick, contoured and recessed, in marble, stone, lacquer or wood. Aluminium legs, 30 mm thick, come in Black chrome or Champagne chrome, with adjustable ABS feet attached to the side panels.

From the feet of a seating system

The feet of the Yves seating system are the inspiration behind the Yves storage unit, which Hannes Peer designed for Minotti. The double shaped rounded feet are positioned in line with the door joints, so the joints and the feet set the rhythm of the overall composition.

A recessed top and softened corners

The recessed top is made of marble, stone, lacquered or wood. The corners of the lacquered or wooden doors and of the sides have smoothed edges and rounded borders, which soften the overall volume of the sideboard.
