Description
Overview
Yves Bed is Hannes Peer's project for the night area at Minotti, with a couture-inspired graphic effect. The seams add rhythm to the volumes of the headboard, shape its design and become part of its architectural language. A sommier with many pocket springs carries the mattress, and aluminium feet in a Chrome or Black Coffee finish give the bed an airy, light aesthetic.
Construction
The free-standing bed frame is built as one piece from extra-thick plywood, and the one-piece headboard has a plywood core with polyurethane padding of varying density. The upholstery of frame and headboard is tailored from fabric or leather joined by asymmetrical double-stitched seams and finished with piping. Fabric or leather upholstery is completely removable. The load-bearing feet are extruded aluminium, supported by black metal feet and black SEBS and polyethylene glides.

Seams as architecture
Hannes Peer gives Yves Bed a distinctive couture-inspired graphic effect. The seams set the rhythm of the headboard volumes, shape its design and are an integral part of the bed's architectural language.
Airy on its feet
The bed stands on aluminium feet in a Chrome or Black Coffee finish, which gives it an airy, light aesthetic. The mattress rests on a sommier with many pocket springs, and the piece is a furnishing with a versatile personality, capable of elevating moments of rest and relaxation.
