Collection Story
Origin
Violin is the GUBI collection built on one half-arm dining chair by GamFratesi, the Danish-Italian duo. GUBI's tables give Violin as the collection and 2021 as the design year.
Design Language
GamFratesi's own page for the chair describes a distilled archetype: the studio set out to reduce the form of a chair to its purest representation without losing its sense of character. The backrest extends far enough to serve as an occasional armrest.
