GUBI describes the Violin Chair from the Danish-Italian duo GamFratesi as light, fresh and elegant, characterful and comfortable, with bold creativity resonating with pure craftsmanship. Its gently tapering, powder-coated steel legs support a generous seat and an embracing half-arm backrest, designed so that the chair works both as a dining chair and as an armchair without compromising comfort in either setting.
A duet of form and function
Like its musical namesake, the chair is described as a harmonious duet of form and function: two parallel lines from the backrest echo the strings of a violin while also providing essential support, and gentle curves where the lines meet the horizontal bar give it a refined but unmistakable character.
Thirteen fabrics on one frame
The fully upholstered Violin covers the whole shell in fabric, and GUBI's page lists thirteen upholstery items for it: Dedar's Svevo, Karakorum and Around Bouclé, Kvadrat's Hallingdal 65 and Remix 3, and single fabrics from Glamour Group, Limonta and Gabriel. Every one of them sits on the black matt base.
