Collection Story
Origin
Victor is credited to Flexform's Design center. The Victor pages and the sheet heading "VICTOR | DESIGN CENTER | 1984" give 1984, and the page text says the sofa debuted in 1984 and was revisited in 1999. The Victor Large pages and their sheet, headed "VICTOR LARGE | DESIGN CENTER | 1999", carry 1999.
Design Language
Flexform describes Victor as a sofa that fully expresses its idea of the sofa. It points to the balance of proportions in the bases, the seat cushions and the seat-back cushions and calls the result the epitome of restrained elegance. The seat back and the armrest are at the same height and form the "Chesterfield-like nest" for the seat-back cushions. The text names a wooden structure padded with polyurethane foam, and cushions with goose down around a crushproof core, or with polyurethane foam and Dacron.

Versions and Compositions
The page says the design keeps its purity as a two- or three-seat sofa and as a sectional, and that the many pieces allow multiple compositions. Victor Large is the deeper version. The Victor sectional sheet lists composition 0142XA (an end unit L of 201 x 97 cm, the dormeuse code 014221 of 210 cm, which is the Victor chaise longue, and five 40 x 40 cm cushions) and 0142XB (an end unit L and a corner R of 164 x 97 cm each, an end unit R of 140 x 97 cm and five cushions). The Victor Large sheet lists 0142XC, an end unit L and a long corner L of 210 x 115 cm each with three cushions.
