Collection Story
Origin
Trix is a Kartell pouf by Piero Lissoni. The Liberty edition, shown on Kartell's page as Trix Outdoor Liberty, comes from a collaboration between Kartell and Liberty. The leaflet sets Kartell's skill at redefining contemporary lifestyle beside Liberty's 150 years as a reference for printed textiles.
Design Language
In the leaflet, the Liberty fabrics are outdoor fabrics, and their fibre was conceived specifically for Kartell. Under them sit draining polyurethane blocks, and the covers are removable and water-repellent. The data sheet adds mass-coloured thermoplastic technopolymer for the internal supports and a non-slip bottom, with two patterns, Obi Check and Artemis.
Key Pieces
So far the library has the Trix Outdoor Liberty pouf, product id 06047AB in Artemis Blue. The leaflet names two further pieces in the same fabrics, a Plastics sofa and an armchair called Cara by Philippe Starck; neither is described here.
