Origin

Squash is a collection by Faye Toogood for Poltrona Frau. The product sheet, headed 2024, presents it as the first collaboration between the company and the British artist, and says its playful and sensual name reflects the soft and sculptural approach of her studio.

Design Language

Poltrona Frau describes exuberant, bold forms that are gentle and reassuring, a mix of soft and rigid materials, flowing contours and soft padding. The page adds that traditional English folk elements are reworked and combined with 1970s influences, in a notion of simple, contemporary elegance built on objects that work alone or together.
