Collection Story
Origin
Soufflot was designed to decorate the 32 m high Soufflot dome in the old Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon, transformed in 2019 into the Hotel Intercontinental. Jean-Philippe Nuel designed an armchair and footstool for Ligne Roset that could marry with those specific volumes and forms.
Design Language
The collection evokes the space it was born in and joins a dialogue between the monastic and the precious; its plain covering contrasts with the Lyonnais silk trading houses. The structure is tubular steel and particleboard, raised on solid ash or oak.
Key Pieces
Armchair, swivelling armchair, medium settee, two 1-armed settees and a footstool.
