Collection Story

Origin

The Pacha collection is the family GUBI builds on Pierre Paulin's lounge chair of 1975. GUBI's product pages credit the lounge chair, the Pacha Ottoman and the Pacha Sofa to Paulin and date each of them to 1975.

Design Language

GUBI's campaign copy describes a low, generous way of sitting, free from convention. It compares the family to clouds that adapt and reform. The shapes are described as curvaceous, whimsical and organic, with stitching lines inclined inwards, and the same outline is used for the chair with and without armrests, the ottoman and the sofa.
