Collection Story
Origin
Louise Liljencrantz designed Margas while working on a residential project for a private client, for which she decided that she needed a sofa that could hold court in the centre of the room. The series is named after her grandmother, Marga von Dardel, whom she credits as the most important role model in her life. A 2022 release introduced two lounge chairs and a two-seater sofa, and a release of August 2024 added the three-seater sofa and the pouf.
Design Language
&Tradition's releases describe a sculptural simplicity: a solid curved frame covered in upholstery and carried by short legs in oak or walnut, or by a swivel base. In the 2024 release the sofa LC4 and the pouf LC5 sit slightly above the floor on a discreet platform.
