Collection Story
Origin
Nemo Lighting, founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina, places Le Corbusier in “The Masters”, its selection of lamps by masters of the twentieth century. Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini and Kazuhide Takahama sit in the same selection. On its designer page Nemo lists 18 items under Le Corbusier's name.
Design Language
Nemo introduces Le Corbusier through his interest in fine arts, which led him to architecture built from lines and blocks of geometric colour, and through a 1962 remark that his paintings were in essence sculptures. The lamps are offered as wall, ceiling, pendant, floor and clip-on fittings.
