Collection Story
A family in cowhide
Flexform presents Isabel as a 2013 family by Carlo Colombo that brings together chairs, a dining armchair and a bar stool. The project begins with cowhide as both the visible surface and the material that gives the group its identity. Clean lines shape the chair, while the small armchair extends its back into opening armrests whose folded ends are compared by Flexform to origami.
Shared construction
The specifications name epoxy powder-coated metal, plywood and polyurethane foam in the structure of the chair, dining armchair and stool. Floor contact is through thermoplastic pads; hide leather forms the upholstery. The chair is clad through its legs as well as its seat and back, establishing the continuous treatment that connects the different formats.
Key pieces
The dining range separates an armless chair and a dining armchair, while the stool adds the raised format. Flexform positions the family for residential interiors and hospitality projects. Ten hide colours are specified for the upholstered surfaces.
