Collection Story

Origin

Poltrona Frau's technical sheet heads the Ginger Ale family with Roberto Lazzeroni's name and the paired dates 2014/2021. The same sheet places the range in the Ginger collection, alongside the Ginger small armchair.

Design language

The collection uses moulded shells across Ginger and Ginger Ale. Ginger has a solid-ash support, while Ginger Ale combines its shell with wood, four-leg steel, four-spoke, column or five-spoke castor bases. Painted Ginger Ale shells use the same finish on their steel bases.

Key pieces

Ginger is offered with a fixed or swivelling wood base and return mechanism. Ginger Ale expands the format into armchairs, chairs and stools; its armchair choices include wood legs, metal legs, four spokes, a column and an office-style five-spoke base.
