First

Origin

First is a Magis collection by Stefano Giovannoni, dated 2007, made up of a stacking chair and a range of tables. The chair follows Air-Chair, the earlier Magis seat built with air-moulding, and reaches further with the same technology.

Design Language

On the chair the air-moulded empty frame shapes the whole seat and back into one organic, three-dimensional form with no visible tubular structure. The tables use air-moulded polypropylene legs under HPL tops that are suitable for outdoor use, in three top shapes.
