Collection Story

Origin

Caboche was designed by Patricia Urquiola with Eliana Gerotto for Foscarini in 2005. It came from the designers' wish to create a lamp as precious as a bracelet, developed by Foscarini with a focus on light weight and transparency, and it reinterprets the classic plate glass chandelier with a designer twist. Foscarini records that it was immediately a best-seller.

Design Language

A ring of transparent spheres surrounds the light source and turns it into a sparkling, diffused glow. Restyled as Caboche Plus, it gained new arches, a twist-lock attachment and new spheres for more transparency, a lighter shape and a brighter, lower-consumption light, in transparent and grey.

Key Pieces

The family includes suspension (Piccola, Media and Grande), ceiling, wall, table and floor versions.
