Collection Story
Origin
Assaya is a Poltrona Frau group of three pieces, an armchair, a pouf and a side table, credited to Satyendra Pakhalé. In Marathi, Pakhalé's mother tongue, the word means "provide comfortable support" or "create a pleasant sentiment", and also "analyse" or "assess". Poltrona Frau dates the group to 2014.
Design Language
Poltrona Frau says the designer took his inspiration for the group from our increasingly connected world, where the boundary between the domestic space and the workplace is increasingly blurred. The sheet calls the result a new concept drawn from lifestyles in that world. The three pieces share one kind of base, a painted steel plate.
