Overview
The Assaya armchair is Satyendra Pakhalé's armchair for Poltrona Frau, the armchair of the Assaya group of armchair, pouf and side table. Its shell is covered in Saddle Extra leather outside and in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric inside.

Construction
- Backrest and armrests: one shell of moulded rigid polyurethane
- Seat: seasoned beech with elastic belts
- Base: aluminium-coloured steel plate, swivel mechanism

Story
One shell, two leathers
On the page the backrest and the armrests form a single shell, padded with polyurethane foam and wadding. The outside of the shell takes Saddle Extra leather and the inside Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, and the edge of the saddle-leather surface carries visible stitching in a contrasting thread.
A seat that returns
The base is a steel plate in an aluminium colour with a swivel mechanism. According to the sheet it turns through 360° and returns automatically to its starting position.
