Collection Story

Origin

Andy is the Ligne Roset range that carries the imprint of Pierre Paulin, and the maker expects it to become a great classic. In 1962 Paulin reinterpreted Florence Knoll's settee from 1954 and designed a new domestic settee, one the maker calls both sensual and refined.

Design Language

Paulin softened every contour of the Knoll settee, used fewer buttons so that the severe squares of quilting disappear, and removed the metal structure that underlined the edges of the base, keeping only four legs. Each chromed steel leg is fitted into an armrest, front and back, and that asks for more careful stitching and upholstery.
