Brand Story
Heritage
Giorgetti traces its origins to Meda, in the Brianza furniture district about thirty kilometres north of Milan. Luigi Giorgetti opened a small shop in Piazza Volta with about eight workers and in 1898 built his first factory in Via Manzoni. Meda was then an established furniture centre, able to compete with French manufacture thanks to refined wood finishing and masters trained in the art schools of Paris, Venice and Milan. In the 1920s Giorgetti exported carved semi-finished pieces to the United States, and from the 1960s it produced and exported finished furniture.
Philosophy
Giorgetti's own history describes a choice to work not only with designers but with architects, city planners and intellectuals able to interpret the Italian tradition of "fine drawing". Its in-house Centro Ricerche Giorgetti works closely with these external designers, with a constant focus on noble materials — solid wood, fabrics, leathers and hides, marble — alongside innovative ones.

Iconic Works
The Gazebo collection (1970) was the company's first modern line, followed by Gallery (1975) and the Matrix line of the 1980s, including Massimo Morozzi's glue-free Dry chair and Anna Castelli Ferrieri's Narciso. In 1987 the R&D Center created Progetti, the armchair series with pau ferro handles inspired by an antique walking stick.

Today
Giorgetti launched its Atelier project in Milan in 2011, introduced the GK.01 kitchen and the Atmosphere accessories in 2016, its first outdoor collection in 2017, and acquired Battaglia Interior Contractors in 2018 for turnkey interiors. In 2023 it opened Giorgetti Spiga – The Place in Milan, and in 2025 the group was acquired by shareholders led by Solida Capital with Alsara Investment Group and Vivium.
