Description
Overview
Mobius is a series of armchairs with high and low backs designed by Umberto Asnago for Giorgetti, with a 2-seat sofa and a stool in the same family. Giorgetti describes its main quality as comfort and relaxation, thanks to the enveloping seat that characterises the Mobius armchair, available in numerous variants.
Construction
The base is made of walnut Canaletto. The padding of the seat and back rests on curved plywood (with profiled steel added for codes 63940 and 63943 only) and uses flexible multi-density polyurethane foam wrapped in fibre. The fabric or leather upholstery is completely removable and always finished with a leather piping in a colour of choice. Codes 63910 and 63930 come with a seat cushion; the wing chair 63940 includes a headrest cushion in fabric or leather.

Story
Comfort through an enveloping seat
Giorgetti dates Mobius 2013 to 2013 and 2014 and credits the design to Umberto Asnago. The maker says comfort and relaxation come from the enveloping seat, offered in numerous variants. The series covers high- and low-back armchairs and a two-seat sofa.
A removable cover and defined details
The base is walnut Canaletto. Fabric or leather upholstery can be removed completely and is always edged with leather piping in a selectable colour. The 63910 armchair includes a seat cushion, while the 63940 wing chair includes a fabric- or leather-covered headrest.
