Overview
Zinta is a 2014 modular seating system by Lievore Altherr Molina. Arper presents it in Lounge, Eating and Waiting versions, spanning single sofas, linear runs and corner compositions for contract, hospitality and residential settings.
Shell and frame
A wooden shell in several finishes is supported by a metal frame. Lounge models add generous padding to the seat or to both seat and back, while Eating and Waiting versions vary the amount and placement of padding.
Configuration
Optional armrests may include cushions, and a Waiting armrest can divide seats. Fabric, leather and coated-fabric upholstery ranges support further configuration. Representative composition 60175 appears in Arper's Modular Sofas category and carries GREENGUARD Gold certification.
Story
Lines that organise space
Arper describes Zinta as graphic, lightweight and fluid. Its variable lengths and gentle angles allow the seating to move from a single sofa to a large composition that helps organise an open setting.
Three versions
Lounge, Eating and Waiting adjust the balance between visible shell and padding. The system changes its padding configuration while retaining the relationship between its wooden body and slender metal support.
