Story
Japanese name, Scandinavian lines
Minotti calls Yoko a seating design with a Japanese name and Scandinavian lines, and credits the Japanese-Danish couple Inoda+Sveje. The page says the cross-reference between the two cultures shapes a project that combines an armchair, a dining little armchair and a bench/footstool, each marked by a dual lightness, physical and aesthetic.
A joint left visible
Where the leg meets the armrest, both at the front and at the back, the wooden frame has a joint. Minotti describes it as a structural joint that becomes decorative through the way the wood is used, and its sheet notes the juncture mark on the armchair.
