Description

Overview

Yang Bed by Rodolfo Dordoni is a young, contemporary bed that evokes the play of proportions of the Yang seating system. The headboard has generous, soft padding and reflects the motif of the "Offset" elements of that system.

Construction

The bed is built on one self-supporting frame in very thick plywood, designed around pocket springs whose surface is finished with high-resilience polyurethane foam free of CFCs. Plywood forms the headboard, which carries variable-density polyurethane padding. Both the fabric and the leather covers are fully removable.

Specifications

  • Height: 100 cm (39 3/8 in)
  • Sommier: pocket-sprung, 17 cm high
  • Load-bearing parts: Pewter-finished extruded aluminium, on nylon slides

Story

Proportions carried over from the seating system

Rodolfo Dordoni gave the Yang Bed the character of the Yang seating system: the same play of proportions, and a headboard that picks up the "Offset" motif of its elements. The padding is generous and soft.

A sprung base on Pewter blades

A 17 cm high base with pocket springs works together with the Comfort H25 mattress to promise an extremely restful night's sleep. The bed stands on simple, elegant metal blades in Pewter, and its headboard separates from the frame on a quick set and release coupling when the covers come off.
