Story
The design
The page presents X as an intriguing relationship between material and concept, and as the peak of the duo's furniture design. The Danish pair had spent years experimenting with a laminated wooden frame inspired by old wooden tennis rackets before X was released in 1959.
The launch
&Tradition calls X an archive design by the Danish studio. To mark its launch, the brand held a talk at its St James's Park showroom during London Design Festival.
