A table for two settings
When is a round solid-wood coffee table by Rodolfo Dordoni, dated 2009 on Molteni&C's product-specific datasheet. The manufacturer presents it as a companion for both living and sleeping areas. Three legs support the circular top and a lower shelf, while the storage volume incorporates a drawer.
Solid-wood construction
The structure is solid oak; the eucalyptus version uses stained American walnut. The top and drawer cover are medium-density fibreboard faced in sliced oak or eucalyptus. Curved veneered wood forms the structure and drawer front, and felt supports the feet.
WTCW2
The sheet gives a 50 cm diameter and one vertical value of 32 cm. That vertical value is not labelled with an axis on the drawing.
Story
Repeated circles
Molteni&C describes the round top and lower shelf as geometries echoed by the three supporting legs. The arrangement gives the table its sculptural simplicity while the shelf and drawer add storage within the compact form.
Between living room and bedroom
The official page positions When beside either a sofa or a bed. Its solid-wood construction and inlay are the details through which Molteni&C connects the small table to its cabinetmaking culture.
