Overview
Volage EX-S Sofa is Philippe Starck's 2016 sectional seating design for Cassina. The page presents complete sofas, end units and corner elements.
Construction
The back uses a pre-formed polyurethane insert. A single seat cushion and broad armrest combine feather filling with polyurethane cores, while extruded-aluminium crosspieces carry cast-aluminium feet.

Story
Concealed fastening
Cassina's sheet describes an industrial capitonné process developed by Philippe Starck and Cassina. In selected points, a concealed inner fastener takes the place of a traditional button.
A complete sectional programme
The product is arranged as complete sofas, end units and corners. Coordinated low tables and integrated table elements extend the programme beyond upholstered seating.
