Description
Overview
Valmer is an outdoor settee by Guggenbichlerdesign. Its lightweight aluminium structure can be used as a bench, sun lounger, vis-à-vis seat or as part of a corner arrangement.
Frame and braiding
Charcoal-coloured lacquer finishes the aluminium structure. Grey rope in 100% polypropylene is braided by hand in Indonesia across the open back.
Cushions and dimensions
The seat cushion and small back cushion use grey-chiné Lani Sunproof fabric in 100% Olefin, while two larger back cushions use beige-chiné Lani. The settee measures 2,010 x 900 x 780 mm (W x D x H), has a 440 mm seat height and weighs 45.52 kg. A protective cover is included in the named configuration.
Story
Bench, lounger and grouped seat
Valmer's broad 2,010 mm platform can serve as a bench or sun lounger. Its open ends also allow units to face one another or meet at a corner without the visual weight of conventional sofa arms.
Rope across a tubular frame
Hand-braided grey rope loops between the charcoal aluminium rails behind the cushions. The open pattern keeps the back visually light, while the water-repellent outdoor textiles combine grey and beige cushions on the same seat.
