Tweed Mini

Overview

Tweed Mini is a set of three coffee tables by Garcia Cumini, produced by Zanotta as model 662 and dated 2021. Zanotta says they complete large sofa islands and offer a practical surface at various heights. The top is inlaid diagonally in thin sheets of oak or Canaletto walnut, and the tables can be used alone or grouped so that the tops partially overlap.

Construction

• Top: natural painted oak veneer, black painted open-pore oak veneer, or Canaletto walnut veneer
• Under-top: black painted
• Legs: tubular stainless steel, matt black painted, three or four depending on the size of the top

A top inlaid along a diagonal

In Zanotta's words the grain of the thin oak or Canaletto walnut sheets forms a graphic sign that follows the diagonal line dividing the top in two, like the veins of a leaf.

Tables meant to be grouped

According to Zanotta, the three sizes can be used individually or teamed together at various heights, letting the tops partially overlap. The tables complete the Tweed family of tables launched in 2017, matching its shapes, materials and finishes.
