Overview
Simon Legald created Turn Table as a small height-adjustable piece for Normann Copenhagen. It is meant for use as a coffee or side table, and turning the round tabletop raises or lowers it from its bell-shaped steel base.
Construction
A spun steel base with metal tubes supports the top. The black version has a pressed steel top with an embedded ash veneer board, lacquered in the same color as the powder-coated steel base. The minimum height is 41.5 cm.
Specifications
Ø55 cm, height adjustable (Turn Table Ø55 Black, 602248).
Story
Height set by turning the top
The name Turn refers to the rotational movement used to adjust the height of the round tabletop, which rises gently out of the bell-shaped steel base. Turn is a small yet functional table in wood and steel.
A base that balances the top
The distinctive base acts as a visual ballast to the light tabletop and as a stabilizing center of gravity, and it reflects how Turn was designed around its function. Simon Legald designed Turn Table in 2020.
