Description
Overview
Trampolino is a Tacchini side table designed by Monica Förster. Proportions and balance meet happily in three elements, which can be rearranged into many cantilever side tables of asymmetric design.
Construction
The top is marble and the base is solid ash, stained and finished open pore so that the grain shows. A central leg runs the entire length of the base, and the marble top is almost suspended above it. The marble top comes in two finishes and the base in two stained finishes.
Story
Proportions and balance
Monica Förster designs these original tables for Tacchini as a happy meeting of proportions and balance. An important wooden base, a marble top that is almost suspended, and a central leg running its entire length give the tables their shape.
Trampoline or Fallingwater
The tables recall the shape of a trampoline, or the famous Fallingwater house by Frank Lloyd Wright.
