Description
Overview
Mill is a side table by Monica Förster for Tacchini. The design tells the story of two precious elements, marble and wood, meeting and rubbing against one another until they find the perfect interlocking.
Construction
The top is stained solid ash wood with an open pore. The base is marble, and its leg fits into a central hole in the top. The marble is offered in Matt Breccia or Brushed Matt Fior di Pesco, and the top in Walnut Stained or Grey Stained.
Specifications
Code 0MLLTB062 measures Ø62 x 45 H cm.
Story
Classic tables, revisited
Monica Förster revisits classic tables with a central support. She creates a break in the traditionally flat and smooth wooden surface, which seems to become a stone mill.
A hole for the marble leg
The top has a characteristic central hole into which the marble leg fits. Two elements, wood above and stone below, interlock at the centre of the table.
