Tender Bed

Overview

The Tender bed is by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, from 2025. It brings the Tender family of sofas to the night area through a light frame, ash-covered legs and soft headboard cushions.

Construction

The headboard cushions are moulded soft polyurethane foam and polyester fibre around an internal steel insert and are secured to the support frame with a bayonet fitting. The frame is an extruded aluminium profile with an upholstered wooden platform panel. Each leg has a powder-coated cast aluminium structure under a milled, varnished solid ash cover, and height-adjustable polypropylene glides finish them. The covers can be taken off.

Frame, wood and cushions

Three elements shape the Tender bed: a light frame, warm natural wood and generous, soft headboard cushions. Together they give a result that surprises the senses.

Legs that seem detached

The legs look detached from the frame and act as pillars that carry the structure, creating a suspended effect that seems to defy gravity. Made of only a few elements, the bed is easy to assemble, take apart and replace, in line with a conscious, environmentally mindful approach, and the headboard can be set at two heights to match the mattress.
