Description

Overview

The Telen Module a is a two-seat settee by Christian Werner for Ligne Roset. Telen is evocative of Japanese zen gardens, its design being of stones piled up on a beach, and its roundness and delicacy give the settee an almost organic look.

Construction

The seat structure is 3-layer plywood, and the back cushion has a panel of particleboard as its structure. Seat filling: Bultex foam clad in polyester quilting of 110 g/m². Back cushion filling: Bultex foam clad in ultra-flexible polyurethane foam, with an anti-slip system on its lower face.

Specifications

Overall size: W 2,010 x D 1,200 x H 830 mm, seat height 430 mm, two seats.

Story

Two parts, together or apart

The design has two constituent parts that either come together or remain independent, which lets each person personalise their interior. The settee is almost entirely made from foams of various densities and rests on small invisible gliders.

Two angles for the back cushions

Each rounded back cushion is built from two asymmetrical angles: one is a straight slope for formal sitting, the other a rounder slope for relaxed, lounge-style sitting. A 15 mm plywood sheet weights each cushion and gives a smooth surface for the non-slip material.
