Tatlin Soft

Overview

Tatlin "Soft" is a bed by Rodolfo Dordoni. Its headboard is upholstered in saddle-hide and carries two accessory cushions in the same fabric as the bed frame. The cushions attach to the headboard with saddle-hide straps, and the bed rests on cast aluminium feet.

Construction

The headboard and bed frame are multi-ply wood, padded with resilient polyurethane foam of different densities (CFC free). The frame is covered with fibre thermally bound to white canvas, which gives softness and separates the frame from the fabric. The two headboard cushions are filled with non-allergenic fibre and fasten to the saddle-hide panels with snap buttons. The bed frame cover and the cushion covers are completely removable.

Specifications

• Headboard: saddle-hide panels in four shades
• Feet: molded die-cast aluminium, Pewter-colored extra-glossy anti-touch finish, with protective Hytrel glides
• Slatted base support: sits at one of several positions inside the bed frame
• Height: H 97 cm (38 1/8 in); the axis is not labelled on the drawing

Leather-goods craftsmanship in a bed

Craftsmanship reminiscent of high-end leather goods gives the Tatlin bed an air of refined elegance. In the Soft version the headboard is upholstered in saddle-hide, in the shades Mud, Tobacco, Dark Brown and Black.

Two cushions strapped to the headboard

The headboard of Tatlin "Soft" has two cushions, filled with non-allergenic fibre, strapped onto the saddle-hide panels with snap buttons. Their covers match the cover of the bed frame, which rests on cast aluminium feet of exclusive design by Minotti Studio.
