Story

Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson

Fritz Hansen credits the B603 to Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson, 1968. The sheet describes Piet Hein as a philosopher, poet and mathematician who created the Super-Ellipse as a new oval shape, and says he later used it with Bruno Mathsson to make the Super-Elliptical table series, which Fritz Hansen put into production in 1968.

A table with a stunning symmetry

The product data points to the visual symmetry of the Supercircular™ dining table and to its detachable span legs.
