Story
Pine put in the spotlight
In the designer's press-release comment, solid pine is highly durable and grows tall and fast, which gives very long, straight planks. The idea behind Stretch, he says, was to put pine in the spotlight and highlight the natural properties of the material.
Made to last and to age
Normann Copenhagen describes the design as utilitarian minimalism with a simple, uncomplicated and welcoming design language. It states that pine acquires a stunning patina over time and that the bench is designed to last a lifetime and to age beautifully.
