Specifying Stony for your design project?

INTEBEE is the FF&E specification platform for interior designers: spec sheets, finishes, floor plans and client-ready PDFs in one place.

Description

Overview

Stony is an outdoor coffee-table family shaped as softly irregular pebbles. The representative 67.5 x 60 x 40 cm version combines a moulded polystyrene core with resin and mineral powder finishes. Its continuous silhouette removes any visual separation between a conventional top and base.

Construction

A concrete counterweight stabilises the body, while a black HPL panel closes the underside. Nylon glides provide the documented contact points.

Finishes

Minotti specifies two tactile surfaces: a Basaltina stone-powder effect and a warmer Terracotta powder finish.

Story

A family of four forms

Rodolfo Dordoni developed Stony as a group of low, rounded volumes rather than as a conventional top-and-leg table. Four sizes vary in footprint and height, allowing individual pieces to be used alone or composed as a landscape.

Representative version

The selected specification uses the tallest member of the range at 40 cm high. Its compact irregular footprint measures 67.5 by 60 cm, while the lower alternatives extend to 101 and 140 cm in width.
