Overview
The Stanley armchair is a motorised reclining armchair designed by Adam D. Tihany for Poltrona Frau. It was drawn for a private cinema in an ultra-modern villa in Dubai, and a single button controls the mechanism that extends the footrest and reclines the backrest.
Construction
- Structure: metal supporting structure with a seasoned beechwood backrest
- Springing: elastic cloth with fire-resistant padding
- Base: lacquered wood

Story
A seat for a private cinema
Adam D. Tihany designed the Stanley seat for a private cinema in an ultra-modern villa in Dubai. It is named after the designer's favourite director, Stanley Kubrick, while the design is inspired by the interiors of the famous G-5 Gulfstream private jets.
Elegance with one button
The Stanley combines timeless elegance with high functionality. A single button controls a sophisticated motorised mechanism, so the footrest extends and the backrest reclines for even greater levels of comfort.
